About the Foundation

I founded the Polish Basketball Foundation because of my thirty years of presence in the basketball community. This fascinating sport has been integral to my life for many years.

My basketball history is also deeply rooted in family traditions. From an early age this sport became my passion and a legacy I want to pass on.

However, my presence in the world of basketball was not limited to just being passionate. I was an active player who spent many hours on the pitch. This role allowed me to understand this discipline’s challenges and joys.

During my basketball journey, I was also a referee. This role taught me to understand the game from a different perspective and develop the ability to make difficult decisions in a dynamic pitch environment.

The Polish Basketball Foundation was created out of love for basketball and to pass on its values to the next generations. The aim is to support the development of this sporting passion in Poland, identify and recruit young talents and promote the importance of team cooperation and leadership, which are inherent elements of basketball.

Basketball can change young people’s lives and shape their character, hence my actions and efforts to develop this remarkable discipline.

The mission of the Foundation is to promote basketball as a sport that not only develops physical skills but also shapes character, builds cooperation, and integrates the community. We want to create conditions so everyone can learn about and develop in this beautiful discipline.

Obtaining financial resources for developing and implementing statutory goals, including organizing public collections, cooperating with business partners and corporations, and applying for subsidies from public funds.

A unique basketball camp, full of basketball experiences, which will remain in your memory for a long time!

Date: 27.12.2024 – 03.01.2025

Location: Wieliczka

THE EVENT TAKES PLACE ONLY IN A STATIONARY FORM, I.E. THERE IS NO OPTION TO PURCHASE PARTICIPATION IN THE INVESTIGATION FORMULA.

The program includes:

– training sessions conducted by the coaching staff from Italy – Stella Azzurra Basketball and Polish coaches

– sports psychology classes

– gym (available in the sports hall)

– sports gadgets for each participant

– the opportunity to learn about the Italian training philosophy, in which outstanding athletes – including basketball players – grew up and continue to grow, without having to travel abroad

– the chance to consider continuing your basketball career and studying in Rome

The price includes:

– accommodation at the Salis Hotel *** Wieliczka

– training sessions – I LO Wieliczka sports hall, with one of the highest standards currently available in terms of sports infrastructure in youth sports in Europe

– 3-person rooms

– 3 meals a day

– drinks and mineral water

– medical care

Payments:

– price: PLN 3,180.00

– 50% advance payment by the day 25.10.2024 (PLN 1,590.00)

– the rest of the amount due (PLN 1,590.00) three weeks before the start

Additional information:

– own transport

– each participant must have current medical examinations

– required declarations of parents/legal guardians – will be sent to interested parties (standard procedures regarding safety, responsibility and behavior of participants)

ZENTRO BASKETBALL CLINIC – 1ST EDITION

… definitely not the last!!!

We would like to inform you with pleasure and satisfaction that Zentro Basketball Clinic 2024 turned out to be an extremely successful project.

More than positive, the reception among participants adds motivation and willingness to carry out further projects.

Very high marks for organization, logistics, content and form from all visitors to the Zentro Basketball Clinic , but also from the Spanish and Polish training staffs, confirm the correct direction.

Direction towards… PASSION. RESPECT. COMPETENCES. This was also the main idea for the work during the week that the participants spent with the training staff and supervisors.

The patronage of: the Voivode of Małopolska – Mr. Krzysztof Jan Klęczar , the Staroste of Wieliczka – Mr. Roman Ptak, cooperation with partners such as: Molten , Oshee , LOVE Catering, Grupa Romanowscy and several private donors made it possible to fund professional basketball uniforms, valuable prizes and distinctions.

Throughout the duration of the camp, specialists from the Fizjopunkt Rehabilitation and Sports Center took care of the participants’ health.

The end of the camp was concluded with a 3×3 basketball tournament.

The special award, on behalf of the Polish basketball community, was presented to Zbigniew Bytomski by the President of the Management Board of the Polish Basketball Foundation, Mr. Wojciech Nowak.

In this way, the many years of passion and commitment of the popular Zibi for Polish basketball were appreciated.

– gym (available in the sports hall)

Cooperation with the Spanish Zentro Basket Academy

We are happy to announce that we have concluded a cooperation agreement with the renowned Zentro Basket Academy, based in Madrid, Spain.

The agreement assumes the exchange of experiences and mutual support in promotion.

The partnership includes a number of initiatives aimed at developing the basketball environment in Poland and Spain.

The Polish Basketball Foundation will act as a representative and point of contact in presenting the Zentro Basket Academy offer in the basketball community in Poland.

We want to organize interesting sports events together.

The first basketball camp is planned for June 2024.
